Remembering Anthony Bourdain

You will be missed and forever loved…

Ben’s Chili Bowl and its extended family in our community are devastated by the news of the passing of our friend Chef Anthony Bourdain. Anthony had visited Ben’s on numerous occasions bringing his keen intellect, humor, wit and critique of our Half-Smoke, which he loved. After biting into a half-smoke for the first time, he quipped, “What is this? This is a different animal altogether. It tastes good.”

Anthony Bourdain lived and loved the motto of Ben’s: Food, Fun, Family and Friends – It’s what makes the world go around, Anthony mused. He was the embodiment of Ben’s motto. Anthony connected the people-to-people and us to diverse cultures long before the internet. He was the consummate connector.

We will miss him dearly already. We will love him forever. And we will never forget what he gave to the world bringing his wit, charm and intellect to appreciating the world’s many histories, cultures, people’s around the unifying theme of great food, fun, family and friends.

Our prayers and thoughts are with his family. Rest In Peace our Friend…
